Agios Stefanos lies on the north-east near Kalaminaki and Kalami Bay and is another charming, friendly and peaceful village, with swathes of sandy beach, watersports and a handful of bars and tavernas. Once a little fishing village gentle hills roll down to the small harbour and beach, the shallow waters and gently sloping sands making this a particular favourite with families. Tucked away, the resort has some good tavernas, as well as a selection of shops. There is some outstanding scenery in this part of the island, and a real get-away-from-it-all feel abounds, helped by the spectacular views and a sun-kissed atmosphere. Walks along the headland to nearby Arillas are popular and you'll experience some breathtaking views and splendid sunsets. The beach at Arillas is sand and pebble with shallow waters and a good selection of tavernas, and a further single beach at Kerasia and Avlaki is within easy reach.

There is a wonderful view of Albania that can be seen from the harbour at Agios Stefanos, in fact it is so close that even the houses can be seen across the water. Whilst soaking in the view, try the 'Corfu Special' cocktail on the waterfront bar – a mix of Bacardi, Grand Marnier, orange and lemon juice and grenadine. Also on the harbour, motorboats can be hired for the day (though not recommended after a Corfu Special) to explore the scenic surrounding area. The hillside wraps itself around this pretty undeveloped village dotted with beautiful stone villas, much sought after in the height of the season, with a few restaurants in the village catering for visitors. half hours walk from the coastguard station above Agios Stefanos is the long stretch of shingle beach at Avlaki, a wind-surfers paradise, and nearby is Kerasia, thought to be the most attractive resort on this stretch of the coast. Agios Stefanos and the surrounding hamlets are completely unspoilt – you'll be spoilt for choice deciding which to explore first.
