Tacky IPSOS or YPSOS is, the lager lumphead's paradise. This hideous resort boasts a couple of kilometres of wall-to-wall burger joints and music bars. Here you can pick up your smutty T-shirt and blow-up plastic turtle. Ipsos remains a firm favourite with British package tour operators and with east Europeans though the beach is nothing but a narrow, uninviting crescent of shingle and sand backed by a busy main road. The beach near the harbour is quieter than the rest but not by much. The watersports you would expect are available - bananas, parasailing etc - with two jetties built to accommodate them. There are also showers and toilets. Ipsos boasts many tavernas and restaurants, and a wide variety of bars and night clubs making it one of Corfu's most popular resorts. The shingle beach runs parallel to the road, sloping to blue waters where an excellent selection of water sports are available. Ipsos is also a great place for walking holidays. Most of the thirty something walks documented are accessible from Ipsos.

Ipsos tends to attract young people due to its reputaion. Groups of friends and teenagers enjoy it here. Also the resort is starting to cater for families with teenage children. Many couples enjoy Ipsos as it is a resort with plenty of life, but the edges are the quieter parts, such as the harbour end and the village behind the main road. Bars are something that Ipsos is not short of.

One feature that some holidaymakers may enjoy is the numerous 'English' bars in Ipsos. Ipsos is a big water sports resort and there are two large purpose built jetty’s that cater for this, One is at the far left side of the beach and the other is at the middle, Water skiing, Ringo and banana rides and parasailing is available at both of these jetty’s.
