The stunning shingle and sand beach of
Moraitika makes it an extremely popular resort with watersports offering an exhilarating experience on the calm, shallow fringe of sea. The old and the new blend well together here - the main coastal road is home to all the modern restaurants, bars, clubs and shops while the old village, situated high up at the northern end of the resort, boasts pretty flower-clad cottages and a couple of tavernas. There really is something for everyone.
Moraitika beach is excellent for swimming and sunbathing; for those liking diving, a diving center is available both for beginners and for experts of the sport. You may also visit the near by beach of Aghios Ioannis of Peristeres, as well any of the beaches of the area, some of them crowded and cosmopolitan and others more peaceful. Sun-beds can be hired on a daily basis and there are various water-sports available. Numerous bars and tavernas serving snacks, meals and light refreshments, can be found along the beach. To the South of
Moraitika is the quiet resort of
Messonghi whilst a little further south lie the fishing villages of Boukari & Petriti with a selection of fine fish tavernas
